While I don’t understand the local politics, I do think the “public” has too much involvement, particularly unqualified Golf Advisor Boards, in the management of a golf facility. It is my experience those who serve on a Golf Advisory Board volunteer largely serve their personal interests in ensuring green rates are low and that they have preferred access to the course.
