Peter Drucker stated, “You Can Only Manage What You Measure.”   Most golf courses focus on operational issues and do not create benchmarks to measure and adjust their daily performance.

There is a magic formula to ensure your financial success in managing a golf course:  7, 11, 15, 5, 2, 13, 20.  These numbers, when understood, ensure the golf course can create value on a foundation that optimizes the financial performance of a golf course.  Would you like to unlock the secret of a simple golf course management system to increase the return on investment at your facility?

Managers from 10 golf courses will be selected to participate in a two-month Webinar series to create a winning 2015 strategic plan.  Call 303-283-8880 now or click below to secure your spot, as registration is limited.

JJKeegan+ has developed a golf management system that can be easily adopted at your golf course to create and guide you as you learn to use the insights required for success.

The principles and templates of our uniquely analytical approach were vetted by 11 leading PGA golf course managers who operate 34 golf courses.  The research and testing was completed for a Clemson University Ed.D. dissertation written by the director of the university’s PGA Professional Golf Management Program, Rick Lucas.

Click here to read what participants Brad Dean, PGA – Crystal Mountain Resort; Del Ratcliff, PGA – Charlotte, NC; and Jim Roschek, PGA – San Antonio, TX commented about their experience in the Clemson study.   If these leading golf operators gained substantial value, can you imagine how you can also benefit?

Golf is about entertaining the customer!  Top Golf is simply terrific fun.

We attended the opening of Top Golf – Riverwalk in Scottsdale, AZ in early June.    What a fabulous facility.  We learned that the $12 million investment ($1 million in Callaway chip embedded golf balls), is projected to generated $25 million in revenue during the first year.

Had lunch with five industry leaders and we played the most popular Top Golf game.  Total cost, including lunch, was $75 and it took only 75 minutes.   Should be on everyone’s bingo card.

Current Engagements

JJKeegan+ is engaged at Talking Stick Resort guiding a Request for Proposal for Golf Course Management Services.  During June, we also recommended green fee rates for an Arlington, TX golf course renovation.  In July, we will measure the financial impact of the airport expansion on an adjoining golf course and finalize a five-year cash flow forecast for a leading multi-course complex in the midwest.

We also recently completed new 92 page case study, University of Hard Knox, to be used in Fall 2014 by 15 colleges as part of their capstone class for Professional Golf Management using the book, “The Business of Golf – What Are You Thinking?”

We are heading late this month on tour of golf courses in Estonia, Finland, Holland, Russia and Sweden.  Look at our Pinterest board in August for best golf management practices observed.

Thank you for taking a moment to read this email.   We hope you join us on the path to success.
