April 2020 rounds were down 42.2% compared to the same month last year. Year to date rounds are down 15.6% over 2019.

April Notes: April 2020 rounds were significantly impacted by the closures of many golf courses around the United States due to lockdowns related to the coronavirus. However, due to a patchwork of governmental regulations and actions, some states were completely closed to play, others were open for part of the month and closed for the rest, and some stayed open the entire time and drew in golfers from surrounding states.
The total number of courses reporting rounds to Golf Datatech for the month of April was not significantly different from year ago, however a substantial number reported no rounds for this April.
